Health Impacts of Mercury Pollution from Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining in Africa

This webinar presents findings from researchers and experiences from Zambia, Tanzania, and Namibia. It is part of a webinar series organized by the World Bank-hosted and Global Environment Facility-supported Africa Environmental Health and Pollution Management Program (EHPMP). The EHPMP is a regional program bringing together regulators and practitioners across Africa to build capacity and strengthen policy and institutional frameworks for addressing environmental health associated with mercury use in artisanal small-scale gold mining and unintentional Persistent Organic Pollutants (uPOPs) resulting from electronic waste (e-waste) processing.
